Any word on when the race grid for Kelowna might be sent out to the teams?  Can not wait to get back in the water and race someone!

I checked out the Kelowna website - wasn't much help.  Would like to also get an idea on who is planning on attending.

not as a team, no.  a few will be up with other teams, and a few of us will be up to relax/party/hang out

Never give a match up halfway through. Never say that you do not feel up to it, that your condition is bad, and throw in the towel. Fight to the very end, always looking for your chance to break through.

Pacific Reach as usual will be there as will a throw together team from the island which should be strong . DWW will be there as will Acme .Lots of paddlers from the top teams are jumping onto other teams so some teams that weren't as strong prior may be alot stronger in Kelowna .Also it appears River City Dragons out of Sask , are going and claim to be the fastest manitoba team ....... Guess they will get a taste of real competiton when they head to Kelowna .Too bad the big players won't all be there.I believe Gorging will be out of town back east racing..smart move on their part.....much better competition for the money back east ..good luck guys !

I don't think the comp A final will be as strong as years before .The festival is getting too expensive for what it is and teams are starting to turn away from it going elsewhere instead .Not really sure why this festival is around the same cost as Alcan as it really isn't on the same par .....

A much better race for the money is San Francisco in 2 weeks and heres a list of who's racing there

From Victoria as far as I know from our club (GRPC) we have Sssteam Heat, Team Phoenix and "TBD" which is our mixed up crew with paddlers from various GRPC crews (Fifth Moon, PI, Dragonauts, DogPaddlers, Apalala) and a few from Penticton and Nanaimo.  Sorry if I missed anyone!

As far as I know, Team Phoenix is still looking for a couple more paddlers for Kelowna so if you'd like to race, they're a great bunch of people, a lot of fun and strong paddlers, look for "dragonboatmom"'s message to contact them.

As soon as I hit post I remember that I forgot to add the Navy Dragon Anchors to that list, they will also be in Kelowna!

I think there are just the 4 crews from our club!
