WTF?

These races will take place in less than 24 hours and still no race schedule on the website? WTF?  Confused

How are teams supposed to plan when to meet etc?

Nope not really considering it the same folks who ran the Harrison Races the past 3 years. Not by themselves but they were there to run things! LOL

Not to speak for race management, but you might check with whoever is the registered team manager or captain for the race, if it's not yourself.  I've received a variety of e-mails and have a tentative race grid, although it's printed and packed in my luggage, so I can't really be of much direct help to you.  As far as I understand, there is a meeting to be held tomorrow morning where the final grid will be distributed.

Dunno if we're getting "special" treatment because we're an out-of-town team.  There was also talk of "race packages" to be delivered this afternoon when teams were supposed to turn in their rosters and waiver forms.  From my viewpoint, they've done a pretty decent job in running these races, at least the past few years where we've come to them.  Might not be Water's Edge, but they're not the Keystone Kops either.

Thank you Nakano for sending me the race grid!

Only 29 teams huh? Too bad.

Anyone got predictions? Besides the obvious that FCRCC should be 1st overall who we got for spots 2 to 6?

Nothing on their website (http://taiwanfest.ca or http://dragonboatassociation.ca).  Since you guys have the race schedule, who is going to be there?

I am just going off the list that I do have starting with the first heat up to heat #5:

Heat #1
Gung Haggis Fat Choy
Fluid Motion
Ampco Grafic False Creek Mixed
Elephant & Castle Booze Cruise
Scaly Justice
Dogwood Nothin' Dragon Seniors

Heat #2
Saints Preserve Us
RGL United
Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy
Soctiabank Dragons
Synergy What the Fred?
Dragon Hearts

Heat #3
Dr'Agonize
Ready, JET, Go!
Just Dragon Along
Synergy Rice Rockets
Naluwan
Race Face

Heat #4
Draco Stealth
Dragon Hearts Magnum
Superslim Phat Phish Racing
Red Fusion
The EH Team
Saltspring Dragon Boat Club

Heat #5
Splash Test Dragons
Synergy Legacy
Team Storm
Riptide
False Creek Juniors

That is a total of 29 teams. The assumption here is that this will be the "official" race grid. At least I would hope it is. I'd hate to find out that my crew has been shuffled around to an earlier time slot right when we get there only to find out that we have to time to prep for the first race.
