Great news!  Kai Ikaika is putting the FUN back in fundraising! Cheers


Kai Ikaika will be hosting the brand new BEER GARDEN at the Portland Dragon boat race September 8th and 9th.   Come down and enjoy Kona microbrews, Hawaiian music, and good times in beautiful downtown Portland!

I can not believe that there is finally a beer garden in the states.  It is about time.  Great job Kai Ikaika.  Now maybe some Canadian teams will make the journey south (I know that a few teams do).  We really would love to see some of the more competitive teams show up.    Now as far as the beer garden, I think that it is going to go off, since it is the first time for one.  Can not wait to see everyone there.  Good luck to all the teams competing.

That is so Right!!!  It is about time that we have Beer here in the states!

Thanks to all the teams who made the FIRST EVER PORTLAND BEER GARDEN a huge success!!!  Shibumi won the "Longevity" award, Sun Dragons plus won the "Sneak It In" award, Annniemaniacs won the "Close it Down" award, and Fire Dragons and Wasabi tied for the "Flat Out Volume" award!!  Thank you all for making this first ever beer garden a huge success.
   
Ohana spirit to all who attended.  Huge Thanks.  We'll try to post pics soon. Smile Smile Smile

PS I think Kai Ikaika had more fun hosting this than you did attending... Smile

Thanks for hosting! It was soooooo nice to have cold beer waiting for us after the final race (or rather final two races, because of that rerace in our case) on Sunday. I think the Dragonflies probably won the drunk after one beer award... some of us were barely standing by the time we got there!
