What a great day at Harrison! Thank you to the crew and volunteers with Water's Edge and the FVDB club! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Awesome job!   Clapping  Another festival not to be missed!

We almost missed our first race! My team literally got off the bus and into the marshalling area! Who knew Harrison was so far away?? Silly Islanders!

Thank you everyone for helping us with our dog! He was treated like a celebrity and he loved the attention!

We left right after the races. Did I miss the ceremonious Puppy toss?? Laughing

Thanks Water's Edge and all the volunteers for another great festival.  It was well organized and ran at a good pace (not too rushed and finished at a good time).

The comments that I have for improvement next year are:

  • move the portable potties - not only did it block some of the best views, it also wasted 3 spots that teams could have used to set up their tents (nobody wants to be behind stinky portable potties); and

  • the registration tent and the hot dog stand should have swapped places. This way the tourists and non-dragonboaters can purchase food also and they will be able to stay outside of the racers' village rather than having to let them come inside the village just to buy hot dogs and drinks

It was nice to be there to race and enjoy some sun when it finally decided to show up. Laughing

Congrats to all for a fantastic day.  Excellent venue, flawlessly executed, great racing and I still made it home in time for dinner.

See you all next year.

Kudo's to all for a great day...

Waters Edge was great as always....

The volunteers were awesome....

We all really loved the free water at the entrance to the Racers Village.

Great racing by all.

Highlight of the day was watching the Women's final.... Way to go Dragon Ladies.... you girls rock !!!!

Thanks, Paddlecwazy!   Very Happy   And thanks to everyone in the FVDBC and to Water's Edge for really pulling it off this year!  Couldn't have asked for better organization, weather, location, etc, etc.

Geez, maybe I should have asked the paddlers in my pictures to paddle naturally...
Hmmm now that u mention it, I think SI paddles un-naturally fast as well!
