Water's Edge has created a Community Challenge Division for the Seattle Dragon Boat Race & Festival. This will be for novice paddlers or even those who have never stepped foot in a boat. If you have friends and family that would like the opportunity to paddle, this will be the event for them.
We have also created a way for those paddlers that want to go to Seattle but don't have a team the ability to paddle in the full festival. Below is an announcement that will be sent out later today.

Calling all people who are interested in participating in the 1st Annual Seattle Dragon Boat Race & Festival but don't have a team..... Water's Edge wants to help get you in a boat!
- Do you and your co-workers want to try dragon boating but don't have 20 people for a team?
- Is your team not participating in the event but you still want to race?
- Would you like to try dragon boating but don't have a team?
- Have a group of friends who would like to paddle together but don't have 20 people for a team?
The registration fees are as follows:1. For the 200 m races (recommended for 1st time paddlers) $20.00 per person
2. For the 200 m, 500m & 1000m races $50.00 per person
Water's Edge supplies all the paddles, boats, coaches and steers people, all you have to do is show up! To top it all off we have some awesome draw prizes!!!!
