I believe Dragonzone is to be moved to the North side of the creek, so latecomers from the skytrain have to run a bit longer Wink

When is the approx move date?

I was under the impression that it would be moved in early 2010 in time for the Olympics, well before the paddling season. In other words, I'm out of a job starting now.

Sigh, just when we got electricity...

Don't quote me on this, though.  Shocked

Updates:

- Season at DZ to begin mid-march... until then, access from Jan-Feb will still be in false creek, but location TBA.
- Plans to move our docks a bit East after 2010 Olympics
- The building nearby will be available for us after 2010 (showers and toilets! real, working, flushing, toilets!!!)
- DZ may also become a full-service paddling club for both teams and individuals. This means that there may soon be kayaks and canoes.
- Teams will still retain access to marathon canoes and OC6's. Kayaks and canoes are separate for individual members.
- Cost of membership is around $200 per year, but DZ Team members will have discounts on individual membership.
- I may still have a job!!

And woo hoo! My "other home" isn't moving too far away  Very Happy

Given the announced boating restrictions being imposed on False Creek for the Olympics, the temporary location is presumably west of the Cambie st bridge... hopefully it's transit accessible.

Nothing beats the sky train for accessibility haha
