Has anyone tried this before and have any feedback? As well, does anyone know where to get it locally? Much thanks!

One girl on my team bought one. It has started to move around on the paddle a bit. A few of us are trying racquet grips and they seem to be holding up reasonably well so far, but they could be a little thicker than you might want.

All this hard work for 2 minutes of paddling, 4 times a weekend, every few weeks....
Edit: and now that I've gotten to do Guts and Glory (TWICE!) it's been worth every second!

It works wonder for me. Been using it for a long time and I don't have much complain about it other than it moving around if you have a death grip on it. I use a fairly light grip, so it hadn't bothered me as much. Gets looser in the summertime for me, too.

I use it on my dragonboat paddle and OC paddle. It moved around on my OC paddle (probably due to changes) and I eventually had to take it off...but it's holding up very well on my DB paddle. I would buy it again. Talk to Puppy...I'm hoping he'll be able to get his paws on some...  Laughing

puppy said he should be able to get his grubby paws on them in two weeks' time. Always good to have a few for the hot summer just in case.

Another alternative in wax form that is pretty awesome (better than sex wax imho, as cool as the name sounds lol) is the 'sticky stuff'. MEC usually has it in stock...but call in advance to inquire.

The False Creek Women's Regatta will have an iTac stand, giving out samples of their sticky stuff that you rub on your hands and use on your shafts.

May 29th 2010! Drop by for a sample... makes it easier for everyone to pump harder and faster.

I find it funny how products such as these are sold in a women's regatta  Wink
