Why doesn't Rio Tinto add a small boat race to the festival?

We know there are enough swifts at DZ to use.

I'm wondering if there would be enough interest?

Not exactly hard to fill those boats, seeing how there's only six. If there's enough interest, you pretty much would have to add another day of racing to the festival for this. I can't see them setting the Swift boats specifically just for three/four races that may happen during the whole day, and they're small and few enough that just a few teams will easily need a few races to cover everyone. That'll eat into the normal boats' heats, and considering the aquabus traffic on the FC on a sunny weekend, it's bound to be a logistic nightmare with the number of teams that are still coming around. Beside we already have a Swift-specific regatta for this, and that one had a much, much smaller team turnout compared to what we get in Alcan.

It still can happen though if there's enough teams and we gets a supple amount of time in the races. Now, if there are 50 20-paddlers teams sharing six 10-paddlers boats...

Three boat heats doesn't sound to appealing.
