The first update of our team ladder rankings for 2012 is up!
http://www.dragonboatwest.net/index.php?page=17This update is a bit late compared to previous years, but is comprehensive in its scope covering the Deep Cove dash, junior regatta, FCRCC spring knockout, Gorge sprints, women's regatta, DZ regatta and of course RTA.
One odd looking result to make a note of : Wasabi Power and FCRCC HP Women are the top two ranked womens teams at 63 and 64 respectively. Wasabi Power only raced at the women's regatta while the FCRCC women only raced at Alcan. Both teams finished first in every one of their heats. Wasabi Power's earlier start, however, meant that it had risen to the top of the womens teams early in the season. So there was no way for FCRCC women to take the top spot since the two teams haven't raced against each other this year.
Its just how the ladder system works.
