The Bill Alley Memoria DB regatta is a friendly little race - I think last year there were 24 teams. Barnet Marine Park is a beautiful site and the boats are loaded from the beach.
Every team gets 3 races throughout the day on Saturday, May 20, 2006.
I know that the Chilliwack teams are coming out - Sudden Impact, The Pirates. Gung Haggis Fat Choy is entered for the first time - but I have attended with many different teams over the years. This is always one of my favorite ways to kick off the dragon boat racing season.
The people at Lotus Sports Club are always very friendly, and they have a nice little outrigger paddling program too! Imagine a summer day paddling solo outrigger up the Indian Arm past Deep Cove, Belcarra Park, and Twin Islands. 8)
