There's another deal to be had out there. 

Our team had townhouse T2 reserved at Discovery Pointe Resort (one of the condos overlooking the race site) but doesn't need the suite afterall.

From the Kelowna Resort Accommodations website:  Located on the very front of Discovery Pointe Resort, these "T2" unit Town Homes offer outstanding views of Okanagan Lake and the Lagoon. These units will provide sleeping for up to 6 persons with a Queen bed in the Master Bedroom and two Twin beds in the Second Bedroom, as well as a quality Queen Sofa/Sleeper in the Den.  These 1335 sq. ft. air-conditioned units are luxuriously furnished and accessorized, boasting large windows and neutral decor providing for a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Discovery Pointe Resort ... wasnt that the place that made front page in the newspaper a few months back?  it has the potential to collapse b/c of shotty construction??  i could be wrong tho...

Discovery Bay Resort, the condos next door, are having serious structural problems.  Discovery Point comprises of the townhouses beside this complex.  I have been informed that they are structurally sound.  Let's sure hope so since we are about to cancel our alternate accommodation today.
