Ok this is too cool to miss! My team (Stingrays) was racing in Richmond Hill at a small regatta on the same weekend as the TCBA Race (Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival) at Centre Island.
And as you probably guessed, CuJo (Curtis Joseph, former Leaf goalie, Red Wings goalie) was on one of the teams! His team actually beat mine in the finals, they were all huge! They came second overall, some local canoe club was first, and we were third.
Between races, a few of us mustered enough confidence to approach him for a photo!! And he put his hand on my shoulder... you can't see it in the photo, but trust me he did! hehehe...
