I have to agree with puppy. one of the most improved teams this year was LARD Black. holy crap did they step it up in SF. also kudos go out to Merill Lynch SF BAD... well done on fighting to the top.
In terms of west coast Canadian teams, I believe Sudden Impact really came up the ranks this year. Finding a good coach and the right paddlers do make a huge difference in the equation of dragonboat racing. Master of D'Zone is another favorite of mine that tends to takes everyone to the edge with their neck to neck races... they're not called "masters" for nothing... they give all you young ones a run for your money!
As for other Vancouver teams, RGL and VO2 Max are another good example of crews that get stronger and more competitive every year. CRC is a good one to watch out for the future... looks like their crew has some talent pool in there.
What will next year's dragon boat seaons hold?!
