Since the site moved to a new server I have not been able to upload my avatar (as it was lost with everyone else's in the shuffle). I have tried to upload it as a jpeg and a png but no luck. Any advice?

PS: please, in laments terms  Very Happy

looks like you can only update your avatar by having the website url ...

I guess, I should come to the site more often then reading the posts via google reader   LOL

Hi there.

I too wish to know how to repost the gif file I once had. I can't even post a jpeg up either.

And as Special K put it please try to explain in layman's terms for us less experienced computer users.

Thanks!

Looks like James Cole has an Avatar picture loaded... why not PM him to ask how he did it.

You can upload your avatar by:

Step 1: Upload the image that you would like as your avatar to an image hosting site (ie. http://tinypic.com)

Step 2: Choose the "I have my own pic" option in the Forum Profile Information page and input your url image thats hosted on Tinypic.

Step 3: Click Change profile button

Done!

wierdness - does it take a while to accept or anything? I've tried all the URL links that tinypic gives you and none of them have gone through...it only likes certain people? Sad
