Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced joint pain from using carbon fibre paddles and then switched to a wood/hybrid paddle (just for practices) resulting in less pain due to more flex and the absorbtion of vibration of the wood paddle.

Some background, I have some discomfort when using a carbon paddle for a 2hr practice. Someone mentioned that I should try using a Kialoa for practices as it will put less strain on the joints.

Cheers/

Yes, carbon has cause joint pain on people. Wooden shaft for practice alleviates the joint pain. Go back to carbon a few weeks before racing to get used to it again.
