No more Paddle for Kids?  Why can't it continue?  Was it money/sponsorship related?  Not enough teams?

I don't think they were bringing in the money that they were in the past years.  Last year PFK was on the same weekend as the Penticton Regatta, so a lot of paddlers and teams that would normally participate in PFK were off racing out of town.  I think it was just a matter of bad timing for the event.  Hopefully it will return in the next year or two.  It's my favorite event to participate in and it's such a great cause.

That's too bad, it was a good event that introduced a lot of people to dragon boating.

I know. I introduced my company to it and they participated for two years. They were planning to continue. How unfortunate.

I do agree it was a great way to get people into the sport.

The team I created for this event is still planning on paddling this summer and raising funds for bc childrens even though paddle for kids isn't happening this year..
