The race grid is available now.  Currently, it's version 5.

The DragonZone Regatta results are available.

Congratulations to FCRCC, OneWest and Gorging Dragons for placing top 3 in the Competitive A finals.

I was jusrt looking through these carefully in prearation for the weekend, and IMHO  appears to my be issues with some of the BUKS

Boat 5 looks like it was way slower than others. Some weird results came out this lane. one West losing to Gorging, then huge swing other way when Gorging gets boat 5. Several other examples.
On flip side, BUK boat 7 appears to have given faster times than expected. Was it only clean boat? Is something wrong with boat 5?
Gemini boats results seem ok, so not lane or course but boats.
Is this weekend the same set of boats and same boat condition? All being cleaned at same time?

I had the same thoughts on boat 5 after that regatta. It has been the "dirty boats!!11ONE" regatta for the last two years.

In any case, there was a boat cleaning last weekend which cleaned a lot of boats. Hopefully all of them.

All this hard work for 2 minutes of paddling, 4 times a weekend, every few weeks....
Edit: and now that I've gotten to do Guts and Glory (TWICE!) it's been worth every second!

It's hard to make these kinds of assumptions, Gorging still improved 2 seconds in their final heat from their semi-final

Check the tide table for that day, everyone got lots faster. One West came out of 5 and improved 11 seconds, Gorging went into 5 only improved 2 sec.

Like I said this was only one of many examples on day.

Some of the boats were a bit dirty compared to others

Alcanranker was referring to the womens regatta the day before the DZ regatta but if the boats were not evenly clean on Sautday the same would apply for Sunday.

Unclean boats can add 10 seconds - this year's DZ Regatta results don't mean much.
