Welcome to the Dragon Boat West. We hope you find this forum useful in discussing topics related to dragon boating which will help promote the sport. You can get to these forums from the main web site, and you can also check for Forums status in the news. With that in mind, here are some rules of this board:
- Use descriptive titles (subject lines) appropriate to the thread.
- No profanity in subject lines or signatures.
- No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind. Classifieds belong in the classified forum.
- The sale and trade of stolen property on the Classifieds forums will not be tolerated.
- Do not 'bump' your Classifieds thread more than once per week.
- No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument. ANY personal attacks or name calling will get you banned.
- No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.
- Keep personal conversations on ICQ, AIM, email, or the forum software's Private Message (PM) feature. The forum is not for back-and-forth chats. Ask yourself these questions:
-- Does the text of my reply consist of two or fewer sentances?
-- Have my last couple of posts to the thread all been responses to the same person?
-- Does my post refer to receiver specifically and will not have any value to other members of the Forum?
- Please keep threads on topic. Do not hijack threads and change the conversation completely. If the topic is about paddles, keep the conversation about paddles. It is annoying to the poster to see his or her thread go completely off-topic.
- Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.
- Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any criminal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity are also forbidden.
- Posting under secondary usernames or alias user names other than your main account for the purpose of arguing, degrading or belittling other readers is grounds for having your posting privileges revoked.
- Multiple accounts are not allowed. If you wish to change your username, please contact an administrator.
- No SHOUTING. Don't use all caps when posting. It is difficult to read and annoying.
- Try to post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented.
- No cross-posting (posting identical topics in multiple forums)
- Respect the privacy of other members and individuals. Do not post personal information about them (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, etc.)
SIGNATURES:
- No pornagraphic or untasteful images, text, or links to adult content websites.
- Images must total a MAXIMUM of 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high
- No commercial advertisements
- Please keep all animated graphics under 25kb in size
- Please keep all graphics under 25kb in size
- Failure to follow these rules will result in your signature being removed without warning.
AVATARS:
- No pornagraphic or untasteful pictures
- Images must total a MAXIMUM of 120 pixels wide and 120 pixels high
- No commercial advertisements
- Please keep all animated graphics under 2kb in size
- Please keep all graphics under 2kb in size
- Failure to follow these rules will result in your avatar being removed without warning.
IMAGES AND ATTACHMENTS IN POSTS:
- No pornagraphy images.
- The Forums do not allow image uploading/attachments.
- Images must total a MAXIMUM of 500 pixels wide and 1000 pixels high
- Any pictures larger then this should be either resized or LINKED to and not shown inside the post
- No commercial advertisements
- Please keep all graphics under 100kb in size
- Failure to follow these rules will result in your picture being removed without warning.

This has been done to prevent and safeguard the Dragon Boat Westfrom random attacks and people looking to cause problems and spam these forums. Dragon Boat West does *NOT* sell or distribute your email address to any third parties. The option to have your email address visible in your posts on these forums is controlled and determined by settings in your profile which you control. If you feel uncomfortable submitting your email address, you can go to a number of free email services on the Internet to get a second email address for the purposes of registering on bulletin boards like this one.
