Keeping the forum current

I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice that there has been quite a lack of updates in all of the forums - is there anything any of us can do to help?
I understand that keeping things up to date is no small task.
Things such as the rankings, 2014 races - they are both not up to date.
I'm more than happy to help out - PM me if you'd like.

I was noticing that myself...rankings are from 2012, race results are really out of date. I noticed people were using the 2012 standings to predict the outcome of this years races...

Surprisingly the 2013 rankings would look pretty similar for the top few teams.

Not sure if admins are reading forum messages.
From what I can see, DBWTim and paddleBOT haven't been logged in for about a year and BlueStreak was on about a week ago.
Has anyone PMed the above forum names or emailed
[email protected]
offering their time? I'll bet that is the best way to volunteer.

Lookit you Creature! The man with the bright ideas! I will send DBWTim a message too as I know him personally. The other two I am not too sure who they are. But it is true that certain aspects of this site could use some updating but at least the messages are being read and people are finding out about teams looking for people and about races around our region.

Hi folks,
Sorry about the lack of updates on the site. About the rankings, we've actually been generating them once a year as a service to the folks that make the Alcan race grid, but for some reason our own website software has a problem and I can't update the page that has the rankings on it. I suppose if you guys really want to see some rankings I could upload the Excel or PDF files somewhere.
Not sure why paddleBOT didn't do a 2014 races list this year. Though, if someone feels up to the task they could start their own 2014 races thread. Of course only that person would have access to make updates to the post. We can fix that by giving a few of you who are active on the site moderator access, so that a small group of users can edit the races list together... Let me know what you guys think.
PS.... Wow! The other two admins haven't logged on in a year?!

I think priorities change when one meets a significant other, creates babies, and well next thing you know time is a precious commodity.

Site updates are not a problem for me, I (usually) know what's going on or how to find what I'm looking for.
Just trying to connect volunteers to admins/mods.
If modmins are too busy I could sacrifice an hour or so a week for site admin (SMF would be new to me, but I'm a quick study) , my kids are teens now
